TWO MIXED MEDIA TAGS

Here are a couple of mixed media tags I had also started in January - and just finished in the last day or so. I really love adding texture with pastes and colors.  

My favorite is the one on the right.  I used Art Basics Heavy Black Gesso - and the coverage is awesome.  Next I added texture with Art Extravagance Modeling Paste and added color to it to achieve the blue background designs with a stencil.

For the tag on the left - I used Art Basics Heavy White Gesso and again Art Extravagance Modeling Paste and some color.

MIXED MEDIA CANVASES

I have really come to enjoy working with mixed media and especially working with canvases, tags and scrapbook layouts.  I did several scrapbook albums many years ago - but they weren't nearly so involved and they didn't use colors and mediums.

I usually put recipes with my posts - but these were started mid-January and just now finished.  So, hopefully, in the future, I'll start tracking my supplies once again.

As my sister passed away recently - I have been pulling out pictures to scrap - and this happens to be the first layout with a picture of her and I at Easter in our new hats and Easter outfits and coats.  But - don't the hats look like plates!

I'm back to my blog once again.  Here is my challenge entry for the February 2015 Lindy's Stamp Challenge.  The colors are gorgeous - and I used them all: Frozen Jack Frost, Bouganvillea Fuchsia, Pretty in  Pink Plink, Caribbean Blue and Toto's Tornado Black.  You only need to use 2 of the 5 colors for the month - but they are all so awesome - I had to use them all.
