I learned this technique from a tutorial by Barbara at Joggles.com (along with so many other techniques - just haven't had time to try them all out). She used one of Tim Holtz's books to create a gorgeous look - as if the heart and wings (Relics & Artifacts pieces) are emerging from within the plaster/texture paste and are a part thereof. This is a link to that tutorial and a picture of her most gorgeous completed book on Joggles.com:

Be sure and check out Barbara's tutorials - she does an awesome job. And, her shop, Joggles.com - is really awesome as well.
Anyway, I decided to try out a large tag before going onto another larger project - to make sure I enjoyed the end result - which I did. I will use this technique on another project and probably use one of the Relics & Artifacts sets with wings as well. The Relics & Artifacts line is by Sandra Everston for Prima - very cool pieces.
Thanks for taking a peek!
