QFTD123 and TSC0727

This card is for two challenges:

QFTD123 at SCS - the new queen is Texas Grammy - Bev Gerrard.  Bev has a wonderful gallery and I CASEd one of her cards for my project.

TSC0727 - This week the  challenged is tendered by SillyFilly (Sylvia) to use hot Summer colors, i.e., red, yellow, orange, etc., to use 2 dies and some glitz.  Well, I used Ranger Stickles in Ruby Slipper, Gold and Icicle - but they aren't showing too well, but IRL it's pretty sparkly!

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Drifting Flowers by Memory Box; Teeny Tiny Wishes by SU
Paper:  MFP White Premium Heavy 140 lb. CS; MFP Cherry Slush CS; MFP Scrambled Eggs CS; Scrap of DP
Ink:  SU Real Red, Summer Sun, Peach Parfait, Old Olive and Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  SB Oval dies; SB Scalloped Oval Dies; Ranger Stickles: Ruby Slippers; Gold; Icicles

Thanks for stopping by - later gator!

Cute Chest of Drawers

With a little help from our friends!  This cute little chest of drawers was a card kit I received from my friend, Greenie, when I attended Strawfest 2012.  Strawfest 2012 was held at my awesome friend, Shirley's beautiful home and was attended by Greenie (Sue), CarrollAnn, myself and, of course, our hostess, Shirley!  We all brought card kits to share with each other.  And, so, this very, very cute side step card was Greenie's project for us.  And, inasmuch as I had never uploaded it anywhere, I used it for the CCEE challenge this week tendered by Lois - to make a side step card or a center step card.

Card Recipe:  (A card kid from the talented Greenie)

CCEE Stampers Challenge 7-26-2012

Welcome to another week of CCEE Stampers challenges!  Our hostess for this month has been the talented Lois Bak - and her challenge this week is to make a side step or center step card.  This card was made from a swap kit prepared by my sweet friend, Sue Worthington (Irishgreensue on SCS).  We all met for Strawfest 2012 at Shirley's house in Illinois this June! (Shirley is on the CCEE DT also). Shirley is the most darling, most sweet person ever - and she looks like she's a youngster!  Anyway, we all exchanged card kits and I have had this made since June -  waiting for a chance to upload it and show it off!  It's a darling little chest of drawers and see the bit of lace peaking out of the top drawer - it's just adorable!

The stamps and items we used are all SU items.

So, the hot link for CCEE is above - check it out and join in with your side/center step card!

Thanks for looking - later gator!

SPEEDYTV TUTORIALS

Today, for the Christmas in July Blog Hop, Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. has 3 stocking stuffers You Tube tutorials for you by Patty Penn and they are excellent and very easy to follow!

The first project of the three is the hand sanitizer box.  If you click on that hot link - it will take you to You Tube and Patty's video tutorial on how to make this fun project.  I added a little ribbon on mine - so it can be hung on the tree - if you so desire.  Inside is a small bottle of hand sanitizer.  You could also use hand lotion, body wash, etc.  This would be a fun little gift for the folks in your office or a little extra something to go along with another gift!

Our second project of the three is a cute little Tic Tac cover.  This is another fun little extra gift for the office staff.  Patty has another wonderful tutorial for this Tic Tac cover.  Again, just click on this hot link and it will take you to You Tube for the directions - fun and easy!!

Our third and final stocking stuffer gift was this fun giant paperclip bookmark.  The top photo is the front and the second photo is the reverse.  I have it leaning against a piece of cardboard so it will stand upright - so I didn't have to have my fingers in the pictures!  Again, Patty did a wonderful job on her You Tube video tutorial on this giant paperclip bookmark.  I hope you'll stay tuned all week - the tutorials start on July 23rd and run through July 29th!!

I know I had fun with these projects and I bet you will too!

There's Magic in the Air 7-23-2012

It's time for another challenge at There's Magic in the Air - and this week it's given by Shirley - one of our very own talented and sweet DT members!  Shirley would like us to Waste Not - or, in other words, recycle something for your cards!

The sentiment sitting to the side of the card was cut from an old greeting card I received several years ago.  I have a whole tub of old cards I've saved over the years and decided to do something with them - recycle bits and pieces!  It will be done piecemeal - one card at a time as I need it - because I don't have time to sit and dismantle all the cards at one time.  These are all manufactured greeting cards.  Some I will save from family, special friends, etc. - but I might as well recycle and use what I can from the old cards - right?!

You can check out all the cute and wonderful images at Paper Cupcakes - grab a soda or coffee - and head over here.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Friends in All Sizes by Paper Cupcakes
Paper:  Paper Studio Giraffe DP; MFP White Premium Heavy 140 lb. CS
Ink:  Copics:  E37, 35, 33, 31, 30; R27, 24, 22
Accessories:  Self-adhesive red rhinestones; Red Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by - later gator!!
