CCEE1143 Challenge

The challenge at CCEE1143 this week is to create a funny get well card - and the challenge was again given by my sweet friend, Shirley.

I used a Happy Hoppers stamp called "You Snooze, You Lose," but I adapted it to my get well message.  Aren't the Happy Hoppers adorable - I love them as much as I do the House Mouse images - oh, and the Gruffies!

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  You Snooze, You Lose Happy Hopper
Paper:  Echo Park Dots and Stripes DP; Gina K Luxury 120 and SU CS
Ink:  Copics:  Big Bunny: C3, 1, 00, E0000 and R30; Little Bunny in Cone: E55, 53, 51, 0000 and R30; Cones: E35, 33, 31, 0000; Ice Cream: YR82 and 01
Accessories:  Brown ribbon from a Really Reasonable Ribbon kit; SU pop dots and computer generated sentiment

It's really nice out today - currently 56 degrees and the trees are gorgeous!  However, the leaves are all on their way down to meet the rakes that have been flying - trying to keep up with them.  As our house is only 6 years old, we don't have any big trees - except the White Pines we planted along side the house.  I have a Red Bud tree in the front yard - so, the only leaves we get - blow in from elsewhere.

Take care and later gator!

Mo's DP2 Challenge 106

This is another of my favorite images from Mo's DP2 shop.  It was one of the first digis I ever purchased - just because she is so exquisite.  She is called Sending Peace Angel - and she has doves with olive branches and ribbons for peace.  The challenge at Mo's DP2 this week is to make a card celebrating anything or any holiday.  I chose to do another Christmas card with this beautiful image.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Sending Peace Angel digi - Mo's DP2 shop
Paper:  Bo Bunny Midnight Frost Collection DP; Gina K Luxury 120; SU CS
Ink:  Copics:  Skin: E21, 00, 000 and R21, 30; Dress:  B01, 00, 000, 0000; Doves: C1, 00; Olive branch and ribbons: BG96; Wings: B00, 000, 0000; Hair:  E55, 53, 51 and 50
Accessories:  Nesties Fleur de Lis square; Glamour Dust glitter on her wings; Pale Blue ribbon - stash; SU Top Note die inside card

I think I will color up another one of these images, but do her in very pale green shades.  The last few days, all I've been doing is coloring Christmas images - and just need to make up cards for them.

Well, that's it for today - I need to go to Mo's and upload the link, so thanks for stopping by.  Later Gator!

MMSC1276

I love, love this digi image from Priscilla's store - it came with the Christmas lazy kitty image and a non-holiday lazy kitty image.  I had fun with him!  I paper pieced the couch and cut kitty out a second time and popped him up after coloring him.  This image just makes me smile looking at him - and then I look at my 2 cats and really and truly - Priscilla caught the true nature of my cats!

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Lazy Kitty digi - Priscilla's
Paper:  Snowman DP - The Paper Studio; Couch DP - SU; Gina K Luxury 120 and SU CS
Ink:  Copics:  Kitty hat: R39, 37 and 35; Kitty: C7, 5, 3 and 1; Window/Snow: BG000, 0000; Gift: R39, 37, 35 and G05 and 03; Floor: E33; Ornaments: YR23, Y38, R24, BV04, BG72, YG05 and RV06

Thanks for taking look and for stopping by.  Later gator!

TSC1021

CarrollAnn gave the challenge this week at TSC on SCS - to follow a sketch.  I wish I had used a different base color for the card - other than white - maybe a darker color - but hindsight is always perfect.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  O Holy Night - Stampabilities
Paper:  SU Christmas DP; SU CS
Ink:  SU Island Indigo
Accessories:  Nesties scalloped square die; SU brown ribbon

This was a fairly simple sketch to follow and made another Christmas card for my stash - so, I'm not so rushed as the holiday nears.

It started out bright and sunny today - and the high today is only 46 degrees and pretty windy, but, again, the sun disappeared in the afternoon.  There is a frost warning tonight - so, all the pumpkins sitting around might just have a crown on them in the morning.

That's it for now - nothing new to share.  Thanks for stopping by and later gator!

MMTPT168

Our teapot cards this week are going to Elsie in Aurora, Colorado - for her birthday.  Elsie, understandably, has been quite down since she lost her son recently in Iraq.  The purpose of our cards is to send her a birthday cheer and not to mention her son.  Elsie's best friend says her 2 favorite things are cupcakes and African violets.  I put a cupcake topped with a magnolia on the front of the card and inside (although I didn't take a photo), I also put a small colored image of some African violets.  I hope all of our cards deliver some needed cheer for Elsie.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Magnolia Cupcake digi - Paper Cupcakes
Paper:  Prima Fairy Flora DP; Gina K Luxury 120 and SU CS
Ink:  Copics
Accessories:  Nesties scalloped square die; Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die; SU label dies

Thanks for stopping by.  Later Gator!

Squigglefly Challenge - Face Your Fears

Challenge120 at Squigglefly this week is to "face your fears."  There are only a few things in life that cause me fear - and one is spiders - no matter how small, no matter what color, even a cute little image on my card gave me the creeps the whole time I was hurrying to finish coloring it.  I will not, cannot face my fear of spiders - it will live on as long as I do!  But, I was quite proud that I could actually even color the little bugger.  Doesn't he look cute and harmless - uh huh - it's a plot by the spiders of the world!

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Spider digi - Squigglefly
Paper:  SU Halloween DP; Gina K Luxury 120; SU CS
Ink:  Copics:  Spider:  YG25, 23, 21; Legs: V04; Eyes: R24
Accessories:  Nesties scalloped circle die; Really Reasonable Ribbon kit

Thanks for stopping by and listening to my spider ranting!

Have another upload to do - so, thanks for stopping by and later gator!

A couple of SCS uploads - QFTD82 and TSC1014

The first card is for the TSC1014 - to make a Fall card and to use some form of metal.  I used a blue metal strip from All that Dazzle and embossed it - although it doesn't show, as it is behind the image/sentiment.

The second card is for the Queen for the Day 82 on SCS - Joan Ervin.  I CASEd a similar card - image is a bit different, stayed within the same color family as well.

I'll try and get back in this evening and add the recipes, but we are headed out the door right now, so thanks for popping by and later gator!

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #64

Kenny K's challenge #64 this week is to make a shaped card, so I used a Nesties Fleur de Lis square die for the body of the card.  For the image, I used Kenny K's Mrs. Claus, colored her, cut her out and popped her up.  Since the actual front of the card isn't overly large and since I used a Christmas print paper, I only added a small sentiment.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Mrs. Claus digi - Kenny K's Downloads; SU Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Memory Box Yuletide DP; Gina K Luxury 120 and SU CS
Ink:  Copics:  Hair E59, 19, 08 and YR14; Dress: R29, 27, 24 and R85, 83 and 81; Boots/Bag: C7, 5 and 3; Garter: R24, G03 and R81; Skin: E21, 00, 000, R21 and R30; Eyes G82
Accessories:  Nesties Fleur de Lis Square die; SU pop dots

Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful Autumn weather - the leaves are turning, the temperatures are a bit above average, but still nice.

Thanks for stopping by and later gator!

Squigglefly Challenge 119

This week at Squigglefly, challenge 119 is to use stripes.  On over to Squigglefly's wonderful shop and picked another cute snowman (can't ever have too many snowmen - right)!  The cutie has stripes on his hat and the DP used has patterned stripes.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Snowbird Serenade digi - Squigglefly
Paper:  Basic Grey Nordic Holiday DP; Gina K Luxury 120 and SU CS
Ink:  Copics:  Scarf:  R39, 37 and 35; Hat: R85, 83 and 81; Bird:  B01, 00, 000, YR65; Pine tree:  G17 and BG75; Limbs: E35 and33

Again, thanks for stopping by and later gator!

There's Magic in the Air 10-10-1011 Challenge

The challenge at There's Magic in the Air this week is to use scripture.  I went and browsed Paper Cupcake's store for just the right image (which they always have) and selected Elegant Pumpkins.  I set the verse next to the card - so the object of the challenge is visible, but it will be glued inside the card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Elegant Pumpkins digi - Paper Cupcakes
Paper:  Memory Box Nightfall DP; Gina K Luxury 120 and SU CS
Ink:  Copics:  Pumpkins:  YR18, 15, 12, 01 and Y28; Dish: BG78, 75, 72 and BG000
Accessories:  Scalloped Circle Nesties; Fleur de Lis rectangle Nestie; Cheery Lynn leaves die

Thanks for dropping by and I always so appreciate the time you take to leave your comments.
