TWO MORE JOURNAL PAGES FINISHED UP
In the last month or so, I had started several journal pages and just left them unfinished. Over the last few days, I have finished up several sets and this is the last one. This one is done all in black and white. I used one of the lovely napkins I purchased for the focus. I thought about putting them on a red background but decided against that. I was going to add texture and stamping as usual - but then decided I really liked it just as it is.
Journal Pages:
Mediums: Prima/Finnabair Art Basics Clear Gesso; Prima/Finnabair Art Basics Soft Matte Gel (transparent)
Black Pearls and Quote and Butterflies from an Authentique collection

AND, MORE JOURNAL PAGES!
I can't seem to get motivated to do a lot of anything. This is just a couple of journal pages that I had been working on now and then and finally called them finished today. I decided I need a smile and pulled out 2 fun quotes - one from Mae West and the other is unknown.
Journal Pages Recipe:
Stamps: Tim Holtz Bird Crazy
Paint: Tim Holtz Distressed Paint Dusty Concord, Seedless Grapes and Cracked Pistachio
Ink: Staz-On Black; Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads: Spiced Marmalade, Weathered Straw, Bundled Sage, Victorian Velvet, Spun Sugar, Seedless Preserves, Tumbles Glass and Stormy Skies
Mediums: Prima/Finnabair Art Basics Clear Gesso, Prima/Finnabair Soft Matte Gel Transparent; Prima/Finnabair Art Basics Texture Paste
Stencil: Crafters Workshop Mini Specimens
I start several pages in my journal and then I go back and pick up on one to finish it - and these crazy birds waited long enough.

JUST A FEW MORE JOURNAL PAGES
Hope everyone is having a peaceful Memorial Day week-end.
I have just a couple of journal pages today. I received a package of cute chipboard houses and decided to play with them. I used Ranger Dylusions paints and Ranger Distress Paints to create my background. I found an old Stampin' Up set of background stamps - and used all 4 of those stamps to add dots of color all over as well. I cut out a tree with my Silhouette and colored it up with bright colors. The last thing I did was to use Tim Holtz alpha stamps for my title.
Recipe:
Paint: Background: Dylusions Squeezed Orange mixed with some Tim Holtz Distress Paints Scattered Straw and Wild Honey
Stamps: SU tiny background stamps (sorry don't have a name); Title: Tim Holtz Work Text Alpha Stamps
Houses: Painted with Dylusions Crushed Grape and Vibrant Turquoise and Holtz Distress Paint Cracked Pistachio
Tree: Silhouette

The Flying Unicorn - Mojo Monday Challenge for week of 5-18-2015
Happy Wednesday! Today, I am sharing a layout for the Mojo Monday challenge at The Flying Unicorn blog.
Below is the sketch drawn by Alda, owner of The Flying Unicorn. I tried using my photo box, moving the page every which place - but for some reason - could not get a decent photo. The colors all around the edges are blue and the stenciling is paste mixed with a pretty blue acrylic paint. IRL it is a combination of lovely blues. I even used my new camera.

Lindy's Stamp Gang May 2015 Challenge
It's been a while since my last post - there are so many things I am taking care of right now - so my crafting time happens in short time frames.
This 8x8 canvas is for Lindy's Stamp Gang May challenge. First let me say that I was so inspired by Elena Zemlyanskya's ( a Design Team member for Lindy's Stamp Gang) - that I just had to try one for myself. If you click on her name - it will take you to her blog. If you click on this link - it will take you to Elena's canvas on Lindy's Stamp Gang blog and a video tutorial.
My canvas is not nearly as lovely as Elena's - and I think I might have overloaded it - but it was quite fun. I used every single color of the month and each embossing powder from the Mega Set this month. I used tons of old flowers and even some foam flowers and about 8 metal pieces and a couple of tab tops too!
If you click on the link under the picture - it will take you to Lindy's for the challenge details!

Steampunk Layout
I wanted to try my hand at steampunk - but it's not really grunged. I'll have another go at it another time - I have to work up to the grunge aspect. But - it's a start - and I kind of like the mechanical fish. I did grunge up the key and cogs though - that's progress.

Paper: In my stash
Mediums: Art Basics Clear Gesso; Art Extravagance Copper Crackle Texture Paste; Dusty Attic Rust Powder; Ranger Perfect Medium
