RIIKKA KOVASIN AND TERHI KOSKINEN CHALLENGE

Riikka Kovasin and Terhi Koskinen are having a challenge on their blogs.  I have linked their blogs under the graphics for the challenge and you can jump over and check out the details if you are interested.  Both Riikka and Terhi are amazing artists and I enjoy their art and presence in the world of scrapping, mixed media, altered art, etc. etc.  Seriously, just check out their blogs and take time to go back and review their work!

My page started out with black gesso used with the TCW Art Is stencil in the background - following along with the sketch - but then I wanted to use the bright colors as shown in Terhi's graphic - so I used colored papers for the photo mat and several different colors of paint splats (orange, green, blue, black, white) added to the paper.  I then added black Gelato blended out to a grayish color around the photo mat.  I added Finnabair glass beads in 5 different colors scattered around the page also.  For the title, I used some chipboard and titled it Be Awesome and added a little glitter to the title.  I also added black and blue metallic thread and some Finnabair mechanicals.

Thanks for taking a peek!

  1. Kathy this is simply wonderful! I love the grey background and some bright yellows and orange popping out there, very inspiring color choices! That stencil looks good and goes right to my wish list, it gives such a great testure for your page.
