There's Magic in the Air

My sweet and good friend, Shirley, one of the design team members from There's Magic in the Air (Paper Cupcakes) gave the challenge this week to make a card with a half circle and the colors orange, brown and blue.  Well, last night, I was feeling pretty good that I had already finished my card for the challenge - yeppers - done already.  Then I looked at my little list of challenges and saw the dreaded words "half circle."  Crud, I forgot the half circle for the card - what to do?  I hope it counts, but I just took an SU punch - made a half circle out of some matching DP from the packet and slid it under the die and sentiment - it's got to be a senior moment - because I did read the challenge in the beginning and remembered Shirley said to use a half circle - but when I made the card - the half circle slid away somewhere - wherever those pertinent thoughts go!

Card Recipe:

Stamp:  Paper Cupcakes digi - Own on Pumpkin and Thanksgiving sentiment tickets
Paper:  We R Memory Keepers Vintage T DP; Gina K Luxury 120; SU CS
Ink:  Copics:  Pumpkin:  YR16, 14, 12; Owl: E25, 23, 21, 15, 13, YR23, Y26; Leaves, pumpkin stem, vines, grass:  YG97, 95, G24, YG07, 05 and 03; Owl hat/shirt: W5, 3, 1
Accessories:  Nesties Labels One; SU circle punch; Twine: brown/white, orange/white and blue/white

Somewhere, there is a large abyss full of gazillions of lost thoughts - all floating around - bumping into each other - lost forever by their owners!

Thanks for stopping by - take care and later gator!

  1. I love your card, particularly the plaid background paper and twine tied across the top. I have 'senior moments' like this all the time especially when trying to combine challenges.

  2. I am really liking that plaid dp you used. Wonderful coloring on the image and the twine is goes so perfect with the dp. We would have never known that half circle wasn't in the plan if you hadn't told us. It looks great. I have all kinds of lost thoughts floating around out there. :)

  4. Loved this posting!! Great coloring and I like that plaid paper! Your card is a wonderful blending of all those thoughts that you FOUND and they turned out terrific!

As far as the rest of the lost thoughts - they can float until one of us decides to recall them and put them into existence!!
